Basic coffee knowledge and introduction to the world of specialty coffee. What characterizes speciality coffee and what does the chain look like from cultivation to roasting and brewing?

The course provides a general overview of the specialty coffee value chain and introduces you to history, cultivation, processing, roasting, sensory assessment and brewing. It includes a variety of tasting exercises to deepen your understanding of how decisions made along the value chain affect the final cup.
